REM is a stage of sleep characterised by the rapid movement of the eyes. During the deepest stage of the sleep cycle there are no longer any points of reference, body and mind dissolve into a blurred, vague visuality.
Katharina Stiglitz visualises this process by abstracting the anatomy of the eyes and hereby renders it tangible and perceptible without either illustrating or describing it.
