A rectangular illuminated cuboid in upright format protrudes from a house facade. In terms of shape and hanging, the object is reminiscent of a typical shop sign, like that of the neighboring flower shop. Instead of a lettering, the light object is only covered with a reflective, semi-transparent film and functions like a spy mirror. As a confusing mimicry, the sign merges with its surroundings and thus inverts the logic of neon signs, whose job it is to attract attention. In the dark, the spy mirror transforms and provides insights into its interior. In contrast to the shiny cover, all you can see is a row of cool LED lights along with a cable, condensation and a few stray insects. The sobering emptiness is further reinforced and broken by simultaneously creating an infinity effect. The work reveals an endless loop of self-reference, as behind (or in) the mirror there are only other mirrors.
