2016, paper embossings on Hahnemühle paper, 107 × 78 cm
The series of paper embossings shows substantive traces, templates of found objects, linked to the city of Örnsköldsvik. Using graphic reproduction to leave marks, it is implemented that this presence of traces is also evidence of the absence of what has caused it. The track makes the absent never present, but rather its non-presence.
Artistic practice and the art of leaving marks are interventions of an existing order of the visible. Something is not a trace, but it is interpreted as such. It involves the viewer.
